Our School

Standley Lake High School serves a diverse population of more than 1300 students in grades 9 through 12 with academically challenging curricula designed to prepare students for both career and college opportunities after high school. Gator Strong is the foundation of our school culture and is evident in all our work as a school community. The SLHS Gator community is driven through shared leadership. We are committed to being a comprehensive, community high school that offers students the opportunity to grow through not only core academics, but also through experiences in athletics, fine and performing arts, leadership, and Career and Technical Education.

Standley Lake High School is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School offering both the IB Middle Years Program (MYP) and the IB Diploma Program.  While our diploma program serves a cohort of 11th and 12 graders, the Middle Years Program serves all of our students, inclusive of all interests and academic abilities. In addition, Standley Lake High School offers 14 different AP courses. Standley Lake High School also offers a robust center program for Special Education students and second language learners with a caring and experienced staff. .

Student athletic and activity involvement is highly encouraged through our 21 varsity level sports programs and a number of diverse co-curricular clubs and activities.  Many of our programs compete at the national level, including our national award winning journalism newspaper
The Lake, Poms, Speech and Debate, and our FCCLA chapter.   The music program (vocal and instrumental) continues to thrive and has seen enormous growth over the past three years.

Standley Lake High School is proud to serve a very diverse community with 34% minority students, and approximately 31% of the student population qualifies for free and reduced lunch.
